Description
FEATURES
Whistle masks have overlapping panels to allow the instrument to enter the mask. Whistle masks also come with a small cover for the end of the instrument.
Flute masks have three overlapping pieces and are three-dimensional to allow for proper air flow over the instrument (inside the mask). Style 1 is more low-profile (and arguably more attractive) and includes a stiff piece down the center (shown in purple). Style 2 is larger, softer, and may be easier for beginners (shown in green).
All masks have:
— Two layers of woven cotton
— Adjustable soft ear loops (black)
— Slot present so user can add their own nose wire or pipe cleaner (I find that two pipe cleaners twisted together works great)
— Choice of: Plain Black / Green Plaid / White and Grey Swirls (see choices in final photo)
I have put loosely recommended ages on these sizes, but you’re welcome to contact me if you’re unsure what size to order (use “CIM Masks” in the subject line). In general, the height is more important than the width, and I’ve heard that they may run just a bit big. Flute masks are made slightly taller to fit around the instrument. Height measurements are for “whistle mask/flute mask”.
Size A – Small Kids Age 3-6

Size B – Kids Age 7-12

Size D – Larger Adults

DO I NEED A MASK? CIM POLICIES FOR SUMMER LESSONS
CIM strongly recommends masks for in-person lessons, but these masks can also be helpful for other social music events like sessions and parties.
